The worst Ryder Cup loss in 96 years humiliates Koepka and Scottie Scheffler
Brooks Koepka and Scottie Scheffler lost to Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Åberg 9 & 7 in foursomes at the Ryder Cup.
This is the worst Ryder Cup loss for a pair in 96 years.
Koepka and Scheffler combined to shoot 7-over through 11 holes, while the Europeans were 6-under when the match ended.
Hovland and Åberg finished it off with four straight birdies.
The Americans birdied just one hole in their match.
Åberg and Hovland won the first four holes thanks to the Americans starting with two double bogies and a bogey.
Koepka rifled one left into the creek on the 8th hole and hooked Team USA's second shot left into the water on the 9th hole.
By the 11th hole, Koepka and Scheffler were 9-down.
This is the biggest shock of the Ryder Cup thus far, and comes after Team USA failed to win a match on Friday.
