Bills Expect Von Miller's Return to End Star DE Contract

Kingsley Jonathan made the Bills' final 53-man roster this summer but may not be able to hold onto his spot for long.

Von Miller's return from the PUP list and the potential returns of Baylon Spector and Justin Shorter from injured reserve could force the Bills to make roster cuts.

Insiders believe Jonathan is the most likely player to be cut if the Bills need to make room for Miller, Spector, and Shorter.Jonathan was a healthy inactive for the first

two weeks of the season and plays the same position as Miller. The Bills see something in Jonathan and would hate to lose him, but they may have no choice if they need

to make roster cuts.Jonathan initially signed with the Bills as an undrafted rookie last offseason, made a good impression in training camp, but failed to make the final roster.

He was picked up by the Chicago Bears and appeared in five games before being released and signing back with the Bills' practice squad.

Jonathan appeared in one game last season and signed a futures contract with the Bills in January to return to training camp.

He appeared to be headed for the practice squad again before a late-summer trade paved the way for him to make the final roster.

Jonathan was a health scratch for the first two games of the season but was active in the Week 3 win over the Washington Commanders.
