PGA of America threatened to ban Schauffele from Ryder Cup

Xander Schauffele was almost kicked off the US Ryder Cup team before the event due to a contractual dispute.

Schauffele had asked for some amendments to be made to a player bonus contract,

The PGA of America refused to even discuss the amendments,

and threatened to remove Schauffele from the team if he did not sign the contract by a certain deadline.

Schauffele's father has called the PGA of America's behavior "shameful."

Schauffele eventually signed the contract after the PGA of America's general counsel intervened.
