The NFL Career of a Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tight End Comes to an End

After 12 years in the league, quarterback Kyle Rudolph has decided to hang up his cleats.

He spent the bulk of his career with the Minnesota Vikings (10 years), but also spent time with the New York Giants (for one season) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (for one season).

During the previous season, he caught 3 of 5 targets and scored 1 touchdown.

He has scored 50 touchdowns and racked up 4,773 receiving yards.

The Buccaneers' offense as a whole failed last year, and he had a hard time contributing to it.

It is not anticipated that he would rejoin the Buccaneers in 2023.

Peter King of Monday Morning Quarterback was the recipient of his retirement announcement.

His future aspirations include being a Big Ten commentator for Peacock and a co-host for a Fox Sports radio show.

After their playing careers are over, many retired athletes transition into careers in the media.
